The Touich Restaurant & Bar – Siem Reap, Cambodia
The Touich is definitely a hard place to get to if you’re ever in Siem Reap. I suggest informing the restaurant for their jeep pickup service before 4pm instead of hiring a tuk tuk and praying for the best like we did.
It’s behind Wat Leur and the roads are pure mud and stone. Incredibly bumpy. Anyway, I apologise for the lack of nice photos again as it was dark and almost impossible to take nice shots, but this place is definitely worth the trek.
The menu is a mix if Khmer and Western food and this is one meal in Cambodia I gladly parted money for. And that didn’t happen a lot, trust me.
The first image you see is Floured Shrimps with a Green Pepper Dip, absolutely crispy, fresh with a piquant sauce that helps whet the appetite. Our mains were a Mixed Skewer
Marinated with Lemongrass and the Sand Grilled Red Snapper.
The skewers were chicken, beef and pork. All were good cuts of meat in a lemongrass curry sauce that went great with white rice. But what really took the cake was the snapper.
We weren’t expecting a whole fish to come wrapped in banana leaves and salt. The fresh water fish from Tonle Sap Lake was deboned by the waitress for our ease.
Fresh, meaty and pristine. You must have this fish when you’re here. I would say this is the best restaurant in Siem Reap. Easily, The Touich wins hands down.

Oh, I almost forgot. Merry Christmas Everyone!
